Modeled after the hugely successful Interdiction for the Protection of Children two-day class, the one-day class compresses the most important features of the two-day class into an intense and informative one day.  Students will learn:

Þ Characteristics of victims and offenders.

Þ Indicators of possible child endangerment, trafficking, exploitation or abuse that may be present during a traffic stop.

Þ How trauma can affect a child and how to use a victim-centered approach when working with children.

Þ How to talk with a child to preserve evidence and identify if they are a victim of endangerment, trafficking, exploitation or abuse.

Þ Indicators a person is a high risk threat to children.

Þ Understand resources available when encountering an endangered, exploited, trafficked or abused child.
